car lowering help needed

Fitted new air springs all round and a seconhand compressor in the last month, but the car started to lower itself over night this morning was completely on bump stops, all pipes into air bags are air tight, there is a small air leak from compressor output air line i think its a small leak as when i spray with soapy water it makes tiny bubbles over a few mins, i used my iid to put the suspension into build mode as advised by Pat at Gap and left it this was 7 hours ago and the car has lowered all round from 460 front and 470 rear to 445 front and 450 rear my drive is on a slope that means the back is about 1 foot lower than the front of the car when parked.

A few things to note, on fitting new springs i noticed the car had a much firmer ride i put this down to the old springs and shocks had done over 200k in 10 years, since fitting the new seconhand compressor i havent herd the disco Fart, on start up it runs for a longer period than i remember but i did have a hole in the reservoir tank which has been fixed, the compressor when parked would run upto 130deg and around 1650kpa then shut off i would then here a hiss and the kpa dropped to 300 ish once the temp got below 108 deg it would start up again but if i started to drive it would get to 130deg shutt off and stay off preassure would slowly go from 300kpa down i think due to the leak but the ride was very harsh.

No warnings apart from vehicle rising slowly in the morning.

Can i swap the relay with another already in the car to see if that makes any difference.

I have done loads of searches but i am struggling to sort this one

have u managed to sort the air leak out on the compressor

as if there's any leak at all over time it will allow the suspension to drop

use to do a lot of underfloor heating systems and done a lot of pressure drops etc , any small leak will drop the pressure over time

also in between the pipes that go onto the compressor i've read a small crack appears also causing a leak

when i had a leak on a heating system i use to isolate different sections, fitted a pressure gauge then tested different sections

on trying to find hard to find leaks i used a brush with washing up liquid instead of a spray, the spray is thinner and will run off quicker, by using a brush can dip it into the washing up liquid and brush the areas and hold the brush around different places , allowing u to see even the smallest leak , by also keep dabbing the areas with a brush ,

wonder if the compressor needs isolating and installing a pressure gauge , then using a bicycle pump to put some pressure into it and test for leaks

sorry i can't be more helpful but just generally thinking and hopefully soon someone with more experience will be along.

You first need to get rid of the small air leak as any leak will lower the suspension so try and get that fixed first before anything else Thumbs Up

thanks for the reply i was under the impression that the air in the air bags is isolated from the rest of the system so if a hole appeared in the air tank the air in the air bags was not affected, i did have a hole in the reservoir tank and this has now been fixed,
