Hi guys,
I have recently joined the Land Rover club with a Disco 3, 2006.
It has duff tyres which wasn't of much a concern because I plan to change these.
I am embarking on a bit of a road trip, I am leaving sunny Scotland and travelling overland to Russia. I will be mostly on motorways although Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia have a different standard than at home . I will then be in Russia for 3 months, during this time I will travel to Moscow, St Petersburg, Krasnador and Crimea, all on the european side of Russia but still with some good -20 to -30 temperatures being thrown up time to time and of course many of the smaller roads covered in snow.
I have some snow chains for the really bad stuff but I am looking for advice on what tyres would work best for this? A combination of motorways, snow and not too devastating on the fuel. I have 19" wheels and was looking at the 255/55/R19 Goodyear Ultragrips as possibly the best solution? Anyone with more experience have some advice or recommendations on these or an alternative?
Thanks guys!

Thanks Sean, they do look very good and £50 a tyre cheaper!
Appreciate it.
