Swapped out my dead FBH ecu for a second hand one and the heater's working a treat! Starts and runs when it's cold enough etc.
My Altox module is not playing though, checked settings, wiring, etc but no joy??
I can communicate with the Altox - app and SMS but keep getting technical error A10?? LED illuminates when commanded to switch unit on but no fbh start up??
Any clues?

Ah, hadn't thought about the hexadecimal - but why would Altox not mention that in their error codes list? Guy from Altox Russia didn't know the code either Shocked
So AA code - "Send on W-Bus not succeed" blimey I'm no electronics expert, but as the W-Bus is the only wire communicating to the FBH, I kind of guessed that...
So blue wire or Altox faulty - blue wire has continuity from FBH to Altox...
Anyone know best way of testing Altox output on w-bus? Just a pulse isn't it?

In reply to the text Settings1 what does your response look like, what heater is the unit set to?

If the heater us not set correctly the FBH will not respond and fire up.

Big thank you to Beanie (Greg) Bow down for supplying and fitting my Altox

Waited for my IID tool to arrive then enabled my Timed Climate, with a little more help from Greg ha ha Thumbs Up

Anyway its all working fine and the car is like toast when I get in after a 20 min FBH warm up.

Its not just the warm car & defrosted windows that attracted me to this unit, it also the fact that the engine is pre warmed Thumbs Up

Thanks Greg

Hoorah! A good day today!
Prioritise jobs - 1. Wash and polish the disco Very Happy 2. Fit obligatory "Disco3.co.uk" sticker in rear window. 3. Successfully sort Altox module Thumbs Up
With the Altox, it was a dodgy internal 8 pin connector - swapped for spare on s/h unit and hey presto we have communication!
Cheers to Beanie, the W1 setting also did the trick in the end Thumbs Up
Ran the FBH for half hour, heater up to 82 degrees Thumbs Up
