The engine is so efficient (yeah I know) but it is, so there is little residual heat to keep it at operating temp in the cold, that's the reason the Webasto was added, to keep the coolant temp up to optimal Altox GSM FBH controller thread

It should still be running until ignition off; then it should go through the shutdown/cool-down/sounds-like-a-jet-engine-winding-down process.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Its reduces its output after its warmed up initially, it continues to run at part load.
I've been monitoring mine recently with my controller, i programmed the status LED to differentiate part / full load.
As others have said, it runs a lot this time of the year, mine it almost always on.New Engine - Fitted with body on...

It's the law of physics, put anything out in the cold without insulation it will get cold very quickly including yourself, anyone who can come up with a solution will become a millionaire very quickly. It can when others can't,

My light still works and I find it useful to know the heater is working as it should.

Surprising what you can do with a soldering iron, and the lights on indicator works It can when others can't,

So how do you get the lights on indicator to work?
Is this a common fault?

What have you done then?
I thought about connecting the light upto the FBH fuel pump supply but have managed to avoid modifying it

Not something I'd recommend - Just because Taxis do it, doesn't mean its right for a D3 - the thermostat will do its job and keep the engine at the correct temperature - the FBH makes warmup quicker and that is how its designed. Technically, the FBH won't run if the heating in the cabin is turned off.Mark.
