What a load of cods..... the ability to restart after you've flooded the car... the only reason you'd be opening those doors would be because the car has already broken down halfway across.
Great they've managed to position the sensors higher up but I'm sure I've seen other vehicles making crossings with water well over 900mm and not float away.
I suppose that if you lose 500kg by fitting a, full Mothercare spec 2.0 litre, that's half a cubic less water it can displace before the pretty thing floats away!
The D4 floats easily as well as others have found and some to their cost.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Ugh. The thing completely glossed over here with the loss of the split tailgate is the upper gate. Now one can't be backed up relatively close to a wall and still get things in as you have to have clearance for the enormous lift back. Bother.

This is the problem i would have with one of my parking spaces at a work site. i have to backup to a lamppost and can get the towbar not far from it and still open the top gate to get my bag out. with the D5 I will need to get my stuff out before reversing in (and yes we have to reverse in) which will be a right pain.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
