Best Dealer near Bournemouth? |
|
I’m down near Bournemouth and my D4 is about ready for it’s first service along with the 3 degree temperature TSB thing sorted. I’m not too worried about cost because I’ve done the 5x services pre-paid thing when I bought the car, but do need to get it to a main LR dealer.
I’m a big fan of Guava near Guildford but fancy seeing if I can find anywhere closer. Does anyone have any feedback for Hunters in Southampton? Are they okay?
My problem is the local dealer in Christchurch (Westover) are beyond rubbish at servicing. The cars usually leave with more problems than you take them in with and the last time I used them they’d left tools under the bonnet and hadn’t even managed to close it… bit of a shock when it lifted on the M3! They also seem incapable of addressing anything you list when booking… insisting you bring it in and then rebook when they’ve had a look…. total idiots.
Open to any ideas… except Westover? 2005 D3 HSE

Yes... done that a few times as Guava are great
(trouble is, I get bored and end up spending a fortune in the shops!)
Tempted to give Hunters in Southampton a go... just because of the distance, unless I hear bad reports from anyone? 2005 D3 HSE

I have used Westover in Salisbury and had no complaints and the service was very good but recently I have been using Guava in Peasmarsh near Guildford.
Guava get top marks from me as they actually listen to the customers requirements and fix things! 2003 BMW M5- 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Yes - looks like a trip back to Guidford again. Now I've seen the D5 and know I need to keep this D4 for a while, it deserves to be well cared for! 2005 D3 HSE
