Sounds like you could well end up having the first official customer order in Ireland!
It's only now that the vehicle is really becoming available - have not heard of anyone actually taking delivery yet, anywhere.... 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Hi Apl.
Not sure if I'll be at the top of the queue as my Dealer told me last year when the prototype was in Dublin that he had one other order.
I paid a deposit there and then as I really liked the look inside and out!
I think that here on this Forum, what might be putting some off the rear is the awful yellow number plate as opposed to most countries that have a neutral white colour plate.
My dealer says his allocation for remainder of year is only 2 per month which are all being snapped up.
Could be bluster but I think like all LR models, it will be a success.

Nothing to do with the colour of the number plate, it's been offset for no reason, serves no purpose other than it was early finish on the day they designed the rear. LR pass it of as "all Discoverys have had offset number plates", which is true but there has always been a reason to have it, either tyre on the back door or split tailgate.
That aside I'm looking forward to taking delivery of mine which should be end of March. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Welcome to Ireland! I've had a number of Discovery's, through the years, and am now in despair at the state of play here. It's almost as though they are not expecting to sell any D5's (which they are quite correct with the lack of the Utility version). However you may have read elsewhere on this forum that there is apparently now going to be a 2 seat Commercial coming on stream shortly. My supplier (Wexford) also says that they can supply any 5 seat model as a 2 seat Commercial, with any extras.
But overall, compared to the UK (including Northern Ireland), the dealers down south are very poor and it is very difficult to get information and servicing etc. For example, live anywhere from Dublin to Sligo (along the N4) and there is no dealer, at all, none whatsoever!!!! Miles to go for servicing etc! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Don't even start on LR Dealers.
I know this is not the proper thread but how can they charge €120 per hour for a normal service which they claim takes 2 to3 hours.
Someone with knowledge told me that any vehicle in a warranty period can be serviced by any reputable garage provided they replace oil, filters etc with correct parts then it will not negate warranty. It is an incredible rip off what is charged by main dealers irrespective of make.
By the way J77, I have been following some of your input with interest and am curious as to why you chose Namib Orange as I think it looks great in photos but might let you down over time. Didn't launch RRS have a similar colour.

had a my17 FFRR on test recently with the HUD, it was ok but i would say not as clear as the Volvo XC90s I also tested and the Road Speed indication was delayed considerably by comparison. It was in a better position than other cars for tall people. MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

We desperately need a set of independent specialist dealers over here, preferably one in every county! 2016 Discovery 4 Commercial

Case1 - It seemed a good idea at the time I'm happy with the choice, could be one of those where I'll get bored through time, but its too late now order is locked. I do like Silicone Silver, though. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
