Ideally I want one that does other cars - 2 Saabs , either a standalone or B/T to ipad - my laptop is soo old its clockwork! The iid only does 1 vin, and quite expensive just for 1 car, i know " ya get what you pay for"
although on NT510 I think you need windows to update but i have a MAC 2008 Discovery 3 2.7 HSE

I have the Foxwell and yes you need windows or you won't be able to unlock it for the first use! I have used the unit a few times for various things and it's all pretty simple to use. I used the live sensor voltage feature to find broken wires as you can set the scanner running and move around the loom shaking wires until you get a spike on the graph. Very useful. Does everything I need and you can upgrade to other car makes pretty cheaply.

Hi, I have only used the 510 on land rovers. Not tried the pro, or bought any of the 510 vehicle upgrades that allow use on other makes. The 510 seems to do everything I need nicely, so wonder what extra function the pro actually gives? Might be worth checking. Sam

Don't think the 414 pro is all that different from the 515 other than it states on the company blurb that it's ok for LR'S. They are both about the same price on Amazon. Does the 515 clear faults etc. The 414 is also supposed to do abs, airbags & epb

I have the 510 and for what i use it for was well worth the money if you do decide to get one they come on Amazon for around the £130 mark every now and again. Stephen

I haven't really used all the features never used the live data function or programming keys ect but it has helped me track down faults and clear them after fixing. Stephen
