LR Extended Warranty

Just coming to the end of my 2 year post-LR dealer warranty and received through the post a brochure with the LR warranty details in, £118.50 pcm

Is the warrantywise one better?

Is it worthwhile? Car is a 2012, with 76k miles on, likely to be about 8-10k/pa miles going forwards, though it's been 15k pa for the past couple of years but we want a shopping car to keep the mileage down....

thanks in advance Thumbs Up

Warranty Direct would be my preferred choice, covers more than the LR warranty.

LR's warranty isn't done by LR, it's Car Care Plan with a LR badge. WD covers wear & tear, a frequent means of avoiding a claim for the "LR" one. Thumbs Up

I had an LR warranty on my D3 for its 4th year - head butted over bushes and arms (I lost) and EPB actuator (I won) - never bothered renewing it - cost about £1K ISTR

HI,
L/R extended warranty or L/R approved warranty which as DSL has said ^ is Not L/R Shocked

I have been Very disappointed with the LandRover approved 2Y warranty and their reaction to raised issues even CRC replied "nothing to do with them" Evil or Very Mad

Did get the work done but the dealer had to push for L/r to sanction it.

Faith slowly returning as FBH has just been replaced under warranty, although it did take longer for "car care" to authorise it than it took diagnose it.

I will be looking at WD next.

Thumbs Up

Will be keeping an eye in this part of the forum, really need to have some sort of warranty in place come 17 months from now. WD cheaper than LR and covers more ??

My RRS LR 2 year warranty expires in June. I've trawled this forum and rrsport.co.uk and WD is where I will be going. I've noted all the tips folks have posted (made a wish list) and will be putting them into action to get the best possible cover. Will update in May...
As ever put the leg work in to get the desired outcome Thumbs Up
