I've spent a bit of time in Morocco with the family due to F-I-L living out there.

Assume you arriving in the North a run along the North coast/Med is stunning,

Chefchaouen is lovely & lots of places to stay, the drive through the Rif Mountains through Ketama (Hash capital of Morocco - can be intimidating) is just stunning, don't be surprised driving along the mountain road to be overtaken by a local with his mate hanging out of the window offering a large block of hash to you.

Moulay Bousselham on the West coast is a nice but basic stop off point, lagoon & beach are nice, we rented a house overlooking the beach for a week & the kids loved it.

Fes is a must but you do need a guide, it's fascinating when you get into the old town, the Tannery is a UNESCO World Heritage sight.

Casablanca & Rabat (LR Dealership here) are fairly cosmopolitan & very very busy.

Marrakesh can be done in a day or two, some stunning places to stay, our kids favored a resort that the FIL found with a massive pool.

Safi & El Jadida are lunch stops more than anything.

Oualidia on the West Coast again is a nice stop off, big lagoon & beach, place we stay has a lot of 4x4 tours coming through & is cheap enough & on the beach.

Essaouira is a nice place with a wonderful old town/medina - parts of GOT were filmed here on the castle ramparts. Loads of windsurfing/kite-surfing here, we use a hotel complex 5-10 min out of the town, again with a large pool & the kids love it.

Agadir - Censored of Morocco as far as i'm concerned, has no soul & the best thing there is the road out of it.

Be aware that the Moroccan Police are as corrupt as can be, learn the road signs as they'll jump at the chance to pull you over.
Anything that can't do more than 25mph legally doesn't have to have lights at night, it's amazing what comes out of the dark on a motorway at night including Donkeys.

FIL has a place about 25k out of Marrakesh in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, but not sure if the guest accom is completed yet.

If can help with any info then just shout & i'll see what i can do.
 Paul.
