Hi Gareth, I have just come across stress crack in the rear panel on the right hand side. It is leaking water into the van. How did you go about repairing the stress crack in the rear panel? Are you able to upload a brief outline and the materials you used? I'm thinking about removing the rear panel over the winter and using Resin with a small amount of Catalyst and heavy fiberglass mat - sand outside stress crack and re-gel with the same colour.

Nothing that elaborate needed. The crack on mine was at the top rear corner, radiating out from a screw fastener holding the awning rail on. It was about 4 cms long.
To repair :
1. Drill a 2mm stop hole at the very end of the crack. This relieves the stress in the crack, and stops further spread.
2. Use a dremel or similar and turn the crack into a V shaped groove all along its length.
3. Use proprietary ABS glue or repair paste to fill the V. Fill it slightly proud to allow sanding smooth. You can make your own paste by dissolving some white Lego bricks in acetone.
4. Sand smooth. Use a bit of automotive body filler to finish off.
5. Mask surrounding area and spray white. I used Halfords gloss white spray which matches very well.
So far the crack has not reappeared. The important thing is the stop hole.
