LR4 only 17 gallons to fill up when warning light on
Ok my MY16 LR4 with SCV6 only takes 17 gallons at fill up when fuel low warning light comes on and miles remaining are approx. 25 miles.
Owner's manual indicates fuel capacity of 22 gallons. At 25 miles remaining and with my low mpg of 12.5 would translate to approx. 2 gallons remaining. Doing the math 22 minus 17 minus 2 (for the 25 miles remaining) leaves 3 gallons unaccounted for. I mention this recently to a LR service tech. He wasn't aware of this issue.
Any suggestions on how to correct this.....Northern California Land Rover Club

I've got the same issue with my MY16 sdv6, manual states 83ltr fuel tank but I have never got more than 67ish in it, even when the it says 0km remaining. I don't know if it's the AdBlue or if the computer shows wrong.

The only time I've refilled mine with the fuel light on I put in 72.45. Trip comp was saying 35 miles to empty and fuel light had been on for 35 miles. I'm working on fuel light means 15l in tank and 0 range means 5l sloshing around in the bottom of the tank. Not that I'll rely on that, especially not if in the middle of nowhere on road trip.

Mine is the same.
I have managed to get 82l in the D3 before now but have only ever managed 72l in the D4 even with the miles remaining at 0.
I'm not brave enough to go any further but in theory there should still be 10l left in the tank.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.

I read somewhere that the LR4 has a smaller gas tank then the LR3. It made no sense to me since the LR4 V8 5.0 uses more petrol per gallon then the LR3 V8. The LR4 should have a larger tank. Even on a LR4 V6 the car is so heavy, it means that a V6 engine works harder to push such a heavy truck using more fuel.
