I have my house insured via A Plan, but they couldn't get anywhere close to what I pay NFU for the cars.
It's such a variable though, as for some NFU are much more expensive. I guess postcode, etc. etc.
I pay under £700 for both the D4 with full business use and protected ncb and the Toyota iQ with my 19 year old included to drive. Bargain!
Presumably your premiums will be higher if you live in a Stately Home, as you're more likely to be targeted by thieves. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

When your stately home is security gated, has tracking infrared CCTV with ANPR and gatling guns, patrolled by big dogs and burley men 24 hours a day then maybe I'm not so worried.
TBH NFU won't even entertain insuring in the KT10 area21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

A Plan couldn't help me with the Landmark as they were insisting it needed a tracker fitted but I've just got my renewal for my Defender insurance, which is a limited mileage, agreed value policy and it's cheaper than last year Cheers Ian

Wierd, my LRI renewal last month was more too, but only 80p per month more than last year and still around the £500pa mark.
That said, my next stop will be APlan if things ever change.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Can't beleive the prices you guys are talking about .... I just took a serious huff with Aviva upping mine from £230 to £331 changing from a Navara. (fully comp, protected NCD, legal assist) That after the pain of road tax going from £230 to £500 !!

Same here.
Added my D3 to my Fiat 500 policy and was quoted £440 by Aviva who then halved it when I rang them to have a moan. I didn't think £220 was too bad considering I've nil NCD on this vehicle and an 7k attempted theft claim from the Wife's old X5.

Just had my renewal through, I was with LRI and they have added £300 or a 40% increase to my price, no change of circumstances on my side, other than being another year older and wiser.
So they were told to stick their insurance right up their
I am really losing my love for Land Rover, they seem to be doing their best to drive away loyal customers
