Timing Belt Reassurance

I'm pretty sure I'm being daft but I feel the need for a little reassurance after having changed my timing belt and oil pump .... a lengthy job but made so much easier thanks to the excellent "how to"guides and other members experiences and posts.

There were no directional arrows on the new Dayco belt and although I meant to fit it with the writing facing me I somehow ended up doing it the other way round. After putting most of the engine back together I noticed that the Dayco belt I'd taken off had directional arrows in the way of the writing facing me if fitted. ( thats when I took it part to bits again to reassure myself that the new belt wasn't the same)

Can someone experienced please put my mind at ease and reassure me it makes no odds ?

Makes no difference when fitting a new belt, it will be fine.

Cheers mate I'll sleep easy now ! Although belt appears to have been done at some point, the oil pump was still original so your pm advice was spot on, the strengthend tensioner mount is quite noticeable. Relatively low torque of the tensioner bolt seemed odd but I guess LR know best. Getting the starter out was the 2 hour pig I'd expected but as others had suggested a few mm off the terminal post and a wee grind of the engine mounting and it more or less fell back in. Oil flush and fuel filter changes went smoothly but I'm saving the pump belt for another day.
