instant mpg display question

hi

understand the lieometer isn't accurate

apologises about the dim question

when an engine is remapped or tuning box fitted does it make the mpg readout more accurate , or doesn't make a blind bit of difference plse

thks as always Thumbs Up

The only real way to get good MPG is to drive at about 65-70mph on cruise control on highway. Max we have gotten on both of our D3's V8's on mine (NYC) 23mpg, on our LA one 25mpg. Getting the BG 44K fuel and injector cleaning done on my D3 (NYC) Tuesday seeing how it will change performance and MPG after that. (my NYC D3 has gotten a little sluggish at 104K now, the BG supposed to clear that up).

I know Long Beach, I used to surf on Lincoln Ave. Nice area.
Looking forward to going to the UK this summer, its been years since I have not been back, loved it there. My girlfriends great grand parents are Welsh and English. She has never been and is looking forward to it this summer.

There is a fiddle factor that can be applied to the MPG readouts using an IID tool. Sorry I can't remember in which section of the CCF the fiddle factor is as I'm nowhere near either my car or the IID. I tweaked mine, and now the displayed MPG agrees pretty well with what I calculate.
 D1 300Tdi - gone
D2 Td5 ES (Alive remapped...mmm) - sadly gone
D4 2012 SDV6 XS - Stolen
D4 2014 SDV6 HSE - Shiny

Laughing Thursdays.
Last time I was there it was hot and sunny for about a week. I was thanked for bringing the dry warm weather. Would Love to surf while I am out there, but one of my boards is in Souther California and my other here in NYC probably to expensive to fly with them to do a surf trip in the UK or Ireland, seen some of the great surf spots in Ir they do look beautiful and cold. Maybe while we are there and near a surf-able beach I might rent a board and surf the spot.
