Black Smoke on acceleration

I am getting a lot black smoke when accelerating. I have noticed a split pipe. Would someone be able to identify it?

Secondly there is a lot of oil around the botton of the pipe below. Could you diagnose where the leak might be of if it needs replacing too. It looks like it may have worked loose as it is not quite flush.

Any other reasons for the smoke before I take it in?

Thanks

Large intercooler hose! easy replacement, change it for a silicone one with bolt clamps and that will be the last time you will have to touch it. Thumbs Up
Its teh caus eof black smoke, may also have a dirty air filter if not changed for a while? Both are causing unburnt fuel= black smoke!

Yep, that will be the cause of smoke, and also a loss of power, there is also another hose on the bottom which is a real b1tch to get swapped which can also pool excess oil
 Must stop buying shiny toys....

As said easy to replace ,Drivers side front wheel is a plastic flap , Take that off carefully and you can re use the clips. The only thing I found difficult was getting it back on ,Lots of hot soapy water to soften the hose up a bit Thumbs Up

Large intercooler hose refastned and small pipe replaced fixed the problem. Local dealer supplied the part but could not fit me in. Was fitted for less than £35 by my local National Tyre Centre in Cambridge. Thumbs Up Just got back from the Loire Valley and no more smoke.

Thanks for the advice.
