Camshaft Drive belt - To Change or Not To Change?
Looking for advice from those who know more than me - 2007 D3XS, 2.7 TDV6, mileage 86455. Had an easy life and is below the belt change threshold on miles but above it on age. Is it worth the risk to leave the change till, say, 100000, or bite the bullet and get it done now. It's the August MOT that I'm scared of - I understand that the engine gets a certain amount of punishment during the test.

Being an 07 I'd get it in asap and check the oil pump to see which one is fitted when doing the belts you can gamble but there's no second chances Wanted D4s non runners pm for competitive price.

There is no more strain on the cam belt easy or not.

Had mine done last year by Flack/Geoff at 7 years as per the schedule even though I was only on 65,000 miles. As suspected, on an early 09 model, it had the later oil pump casing so was okay.
Bit definitely worth doing just for peace of mind. I wouldn't want to be driving it around now just wondering....

I did them on my 09 MY @ 6 years & c. 65k miles on the basis that if I kept the car for 10-12 years this would be "mid-life" & I, rather than a subsequent owner would get the benefit of the new oil pump.

As suggested by others, deffo change belts AND THE OIL PUMP. 07 is the critical year. As Mikey says, better to spend a few quid now and not have to have a new engine as LR will not want to know!! 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

V8 brakes with new EPB module and shoes
Later D4 grille
