Hi all

Would like to get the scratches etc out of my car this weekend, but cant really afford to buy one.

Does anyone have one they would be prepared to lend me?

Cheers

Hi,
sadly no where near you and was going to suggest one from Clas Ohlson as istr mine cost about £25
it seems they have gone up in price now £35
but I have used it more often than I expected, it makes polishing the car a lot easier and quicker, just a thought

Thumbs Up

You have linked to an orbital sander?

Surely you meant this ?

I'm not sure he did Admiral. Rolling Eyes

With a rotary only polisher there's a much higher chance of damaging the paint.
With a random orbital ( not only going round and round but the centre of spin also shifts ) there's much less chance of causing damage to your paintwork.

That linked sander would have limited polishing capability but should work with care. Wink

Hi,
no it is the correct link,
I think it is a newer version of the one I bought a few years back and it does say "Random"

have been using mine the last couple of days on another car I have just bought, Polished first then Waxed, just glad I have not been doing it by hand Whistle

My apologies guys, it did cross my mind that it could be used with a stick on pad but then I looked at the revs (13,000 rpm) and thought it was a tad fast for a polishing buff. My buff is 1200 rpm and weighs a ton, had it for over 30 years.
