Looking to borrow torque wrench 350Nm in Glasgow area |
|
I'm going to attempt to replace my failed front bearing hub (Disco 3 2005) this weekend if the parts arrive on time. I was wondering if any of you helpful people might be able to lend me a torque wrench capable of the 350Nm required for the hub nut. I promise to look after it and return it when I'm done. I'm in the Glasgow area. Thanks in advance . Mike

You don't need to do the hub but up that tight. I believe guidance was revised to 230Nm. I did my CV joint a couple of weeks ago and used my 210 Nm torque wrench then added a bit. D3 SE with Hankook MT 275/65/R18, IID BT Tool, ProSpeed rock/tree sliders + compressor guard, RLD sump guard & winch tray + 13,000lb hidden winch, Gearbox guard, Frontrunner 80l aux tank with fuel gauge, V8 brake upgrade, Traxide USI-160 dual battery system, Frontrunner ladder, custom boot storage, Lazer LED driving lights, de-cat exhaust, Aftermarket Oro TPMS, i7 Mac Mini touch screen install (running Windows 10) mirrored on rear screens.

Thanks for that advice. I was aware of a torque reduction for the hub nut, but I thought that was for a different drive shaft and nut combination. If I can use my 210Nm torque wrench I will be very happy. If anybody can confirm I'll just use my existing torque wrench "plus a bit" .
Thanks
