Look what I found
So, fitted the front light guards this evening, just got to figure out how to fit the rears now 🤔. On the plus side, having removed the offside front light assembly, and found a magnetic torch stuck to the bottom of the radiator 😳

Found a phone from the previous owner in mine, wedged under middle row seat frame. She was delighted to get it back as it had loads of pictures of her kids that she had never backed up. Also found two emergency €50 notes that were taped under the driver's seat. She had not known of them but rang me back and said her husband had put them there in case she ever got stuck for fuel without her cash / cards etc. Nice idea and she told me to keep them as a reward for honesty. Nice outcome.

I found a load of thick plastic bags in my wings when changing for my black pack air vents.
Wasn't sure if they should be in there and didn't come out easily so left them in there Last of the D4 HSE...

The new owner of the Mk1 Escort my mate sold in 1983 would have found some bread and newspapers that I used to bog up a repair to the sills
That idea of taping money underneath a seat is a good one
SWMBO's VX Antara - after Arnold Sharks had "valeted" it - came with a load of Macmillan leaflets stuffed under seats. Given it was a mobility car "returned early", decided not to pursue reason they were there.
With my first Disco, 300 tdi, I was still finding bits of previous owner's kids toys pushed in gaps even 10 years into owning it !.

Ours are but most are 6 weeks.
Serviced is the wrong word its really safety inspection ie an mot type check and levels check every 6 weeks, the proper servicing ie oil change is done on a mileage basis, depending on model 45/60 or 100k intervals
In theory they should be able to go for an mot with no notice and pass, excepting tyres and light issues.
Most of ours do approx 100/125k per annum lots of trucks will do double that.
