i had it out in front of the house all day to sort etc
Within an hour of my departure some low life had broken into my house and stole a substantial amount of jewellery, most of it my recently departed mother in laws. my wife is gutted and in a emotional place that scares me.
So here is the thing if some low life can do this to us on chance, its reckoned they watched us leave. How does it go with many on here giving dates as to how long they will be gone?
i am no internet genius but i'm sure it wont take long for someone to figure out who you are.
it was an interesting night at 3am when the FAO turned up to check the cabinet. Just be careful people the scum got lucky with my spare keys to the goodies.which i turned over to the police for safe keeping.Anyway off to bed to dream new security. i have slept one hour since 6.30am sunday morning.
Exactly what I thought when I started reading these, and some with exact dates

The only person on here who knows where I live is DG so if he goes quiet for a while it's coz he doesn't know the wifi passcode in Wormwood Scrubs.

Thanks for all the best wishes and Pm's gents. I think i will start another thread later on home security so that we can use the collective experience for advice on how to stop these scum getting in or slowing them down.
Lots of stuff was taken most can be replaced it's the Jewellery that cant be,some of the items have been passed down through the generations and while some have a substantial value thats nothing compared to the sentimental value it holds for my wife.I felt like the worlds weakest man knowing i could do nothing to help my wife as she sobbed her eyes out again so soon after loosing her mother. Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

Driving in the D4 through France and Spain to Lisbon, Portugal for a week (father in law lives there..) and onwards to the Algarve afterwards. Return leg from Algarve to Santander, Spain and across the BoB back to Pompey by ferry.
Managed to get a Via Verde device sorted for the Portuguese toll networks and already have the French SANEF one for hopefully a faster trip.
