Holiday over first long haul with the tin tent |
|
Well that is the annual Cornish pilgrimage over for this year
Had cracking weather with just one full rainy day plus the drive down was wet from leaving home to parking up on the holding field
The D3 is so much more capable than the D2s we have had
Knocked a good hour or more of the journey time, hills no problem at all
Can just get down on a full tank with 10 MLS to spare according to the computer that is
Can't fault it
Only a minor wings is I had a slight drone on the off side front wheel for a while that became a squeaky drone whilst we were down there
Got worse on the way home to good whiney drone so I guess we have a bearing that needs attention
More apparent when coming to a halt rolling up to junctions
Same noise when dropped in neutral and when breaking
Hope it's not the bloody diff
Phil

Nice one! I too have switched from D2 to D3 and towing this year is so much more relaxed. Having an auto helps too.

Didn't travel around much mate
When we went to the beach at Crantock we use the back road from Holywell ,why double decker buses are utilised for that route I will never know followed one who nearly got stuck at the bottom of the lane at the little bridge that is there
The weather was good enough to beach or pool most days ,just last Tuesday was dodgy with that all day rain
One trip down to st Ives and a pop over to st Austel was about it
