Auxiliary battery box
Had my Discovery 4 a week now and slowly getting through a list of jobs and adding a few extras as I did on my Disco 3, all service items bought and 20 litres of 5w-30 which I got through work at £40 from an oil supplier we use Started to make my behind grill spot light brackets readyfor the new Hella 3000 as I had old 3 which I left on
Next on the list is to put a usb and 12 volt perminant live socket in boot compartment to run my fridge etc went to lift the second battery cover off to fit a small leasure battery only to be greeted with a bosch glow plug controller in the way plus some more electrical plugs !!
This has somewhat tiddled on my fire and I'm unable to see anywhere to install one, anyone tried a similar project ? Just want the piece off mind that I could leave my fridge on all day running from the auxiliary battery

I fitted a Traxide kit, following instructions somewhere on here on how to relocate the stuff inside the second battery box. Depends on age, I think if yours is new enough to have the stop/start you are stuffed.

It is a stop/ start button version only place I see that I could fit one would be to fabricate a battery box to suit the smallest leasure battery that I can get and weld it to the off side chassis rail under drivers seat The hunt is on for a small battery

Your right it's just keyless stop start , did yours have all the bits that were in my picture ? If so where have you relocated them to ?
Glow plug module is attached to the inner wing at the bottom of the picture. The TCCM was removed from its plastic cover and screwed to the side of the battery box under the plenum, you should just be able to see it at the top of the picture. I did have to un-tape the harness to change the position of the breakout to allow one branch to route under the abs modulator for the glow plug module. You need to remove the metal bracket the modules are attached to.
The genuine battery clamp is about £3.85.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8
