I've not been that way for about 3 weeks. The last time that I went, it was nowhere near being ready and I would still avoid it at peak times. Perhaps someone else can give a more recent update...2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I live in Perranporth and really should know better than to go and get stuck in it on Friday for 45mins
It's currently running as a contraflow on the final /westbound carriageway. Due to open fully on 13th July, but they haven't started surface course of the Eastbound yet.
On the plus side, there are definitely people on site working
There is a webcam on Highways England at Temple facing West:

Bodmin Road Works
Hi Mark
Just driven up from St Agnes today, left at 10.30am, took A39 Atlantic Highway to avoid Works , rejoined A30 using A389 to just south of Launceston. Back home in New Forest by 3.30 pm and that includes a bacon butty stop in Honiton.
Hope that helps!
Good luck

They are cracking along at a fair old pace now - looks like nearly half the Eastbound surface course is now laid.
Reckon they might actually open on time Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

Depends what time of day your driving through. I cruised through last Sunday around 2pm ish. Was shocking this morning though. Went down some very small (and bumpy) lanes to avoid it all. SWMBO was not impressed (likes a smooth motorway) but still managed St Ives to Southampton in around 4.5 hours
Road looks nearly ready to go though so shouldn't be to much longer before its open properly
