Service intervals

My D3 has now done 23500 km's and I have booked it in for a service early in the new year. Problem is I still need to drive down to the coast and back which will add another +- 1700 km's.

I remember reading somewhere that one can service the vehicle 2000 km's either side of the 24000 mark without problems with warrenty, etc.

Trying to get hold of dealer - but seems they are all shut at this time of year
