Where to upgrade Disco 3 front lights and grill in WA?

Hi all

I own a disco 3. I live in Perth WA and was interested in modernising the look of my D3 to look more like a D4.

1. Has anyone had experience in doing this?

2. Is there a service centre in Perth that can handle this?

Advice on mods and parts appreciated as well as where to get them.done.

as there are no local responders I would suggest looking on this forum for detailed guides, and then import the parts yourself.
I live in Bunbury, do all the work on my car and nearly all my stuff comes from Island4x4 and Advanced Factors. And some big heavy packages as well.

Thanks mate - took the risk and ordered conversion parts from UK. Will be here next week.

Ordered a new upgraded grill, new rear lights and upgrade kit for front lights.

Send some pics of your mods if handy.

got a 2006 HSE TDV6, and have done timing belt including oil pump housing replacement. Thermostat /coolant housing replacement, and fitted silicone turbo/intake hoses, all during the timing belt work.

AMK compressor and new alternator from UK.

Brake discs and pads I got locally but the park brake overhaul kit from UK.

ARB bullbar, & opposite lock supplied the rear wheel carrier.

Got all new air suspension struts from Advanced Factors. Top & bottom control arms for the rear, and lower control arms for the front from Advanced Factors recently and just finished off fitting them yesterday, recalibrating air suspension heights today with GAP IID Tool. Will need wheel alignment locally.

So yeah, do everything myself and learn about this model as I go. Been taking pics each time but they are nothing that anyone hasnt seen on this forum before.

I wouldnt mind doing some pimp-age with a new grill, there are some nice ones available, and the D4 tail light upgrades would be good but I used the LED buld replacements from Advanced Factors so seem to have solved that.

anyway, thats it till I have more fun-coupons to throw at the car.

As for Perth service centres, I used to get my work on other vehicles done at RoverTech in Bentley. Maybe they can handle conversions if you get stumped?

I ll give it a shot on my own to save costs - i think that lights are a 10min screwdriver job and grill replacement is even simpler. I might struggle with upgrading front light because i need to oven the lights and reseal so perhaps there i might need pro help. Do they handle lighting?

couldnt say for certain what they are prepared to tackle, but suspect that fiddly stuff like modding light fittings wont get them excited. Who knows?

I ll get a before and after pic and upload next week. Mine is a basic coil suspensions version with leather seats but lifted 2inches with king springs.

Purchased it to commute to work and as a 4x4 for adventures and towing. Looking at getting offroad tires for 19inch wheels -
thinking of atturo 255/55r19? What tires are you using?

What about if I just post photos of my skinned knuckles.... and the bruises and scratches on my forearms from doing the belt for the high pressure fuel pump ? A design Engineer in the UK has got a lot to answer for.. Confused

I've got my battle scars.

What does the head light upgrade kit consist of?? as fitting D4 lights require fender mods or replacement
