dont buy the BTC 455
I tried it, thinking it would be better as it can connect to 2 devices simultaneously - but it doesnt work properly - gets confused and fails to automatically connect.
The BTC 450 has however worked flawlessly for 3 years.2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

I bought the firefly linked earlier in the thread and am mega impressed how easy it was to add bluetooth to the AUX coonnection. I have a slight buzz when connected and no audio playing but that is pretty minor.
Next step is to get a Brodit pro mount hardwired to the car for my Galaxy Note and that's the audio done for about £100.

you can get a right angle adapter cable - I use one for the same reason with the Kinivo - lets you close the hatch
@Johnny Oxford
can you post me a link of the right angle connector you bought please. I bought one I thought would enable me to shut the hatch but no joy formerly Disco3Ben

Also must get round to adding Bluetooth to mine, being a base model would be nice to at least connect my iPhone somehow
Also going to connect a 3.5mm lead to the back of my radio
If I’m being honest Finding it abit of a mindfield ,

Thanks I'll get one ordered and report back. The only niggle with this solution is that you cant skip track as its via AUX but the Firefly USB stick is absolutely brilliant.

Hi DISCO3HSE2018
Ur welcome and pleased it helped
Been wondering about Bluetooth and wondering if it’s going to be more complicated as I fitted a D4 wheel in my D3
Looked through the links and also on amazon, wondering if it’s worth getting a D4 Bluetooth module or one off amazon, just can’t decide
Another thought was buying a double din radio that had Bluetooth built in
With so many kits around it’s abit confusing to say the least
If I’ve got it right , want the aux to play music off an iPod, then Bluetooth for the phone that will play the phone call through the speakers
Trying to catch up if I’m being honest with the different tech that’s now avalaibale
Thks

Finally got my British American Concepts unit last week after I paid the additional £23 import duty to have it released from customs!
It’s a quality piece of kit and the sound quality/volume when streaming music from my phone is so much better than it was through the old aux port that it’s replaced.
