Good Morning,
I have heard so many rumours and hear-say about whether or not the Disco 5 Commercial will ever exist. Backwards and forwards this discussion has rolled. My favourite stealer (up Norff) says they have six on order but then they are not present on the web site and no price list has been issued for them (am I about to be proved wrong this morning)!! And they are quite coy when you challenge them for details of it. Strange behaviour to be honest.
I did have a production slot preserved (no deposit paid) from 12 months ago as I have had Commercials for business use for the past 10 years. But it is a no from me.
They have lost me as a customer (and I have owned FFRR, RR Sport and Commercials). In my humble opinion it is a fugly looking thing and the tailgate is useless (particularly for a Commercial application). Parked next to one yesterday in Solihull and it is just a big lump. You need to be 8 foot tall to look into the engine bay!
I will order a decent spec VW T6 in the New Year and move on from there. My Current D4 Commercial still under warranty.
I feel better for that now "Track day running - Don't put your foot back on the accelerator until your absolutely sure you don't have to take it off again"

I have placed the £1k dipper to get on the list as Stealer said LR had informed them that they will be releasing the 5 in commercial version, no details as yet on specs or deliveries.
I have to say IMHO when I consider the fact that I can have a van or D4/D5 to run around in with the same tax implications then the Disco wins every time, I know you pay a premium up front but residuals are good on the Disco, which does even it out a bit.
The T6 is my favourite van and I have several on fleet, proven reliability and top spec ones don't come cheap either, I've done the double cab and Kombi thing and whilst they are good they still feel a bit to commercial for me, having said that if I don't like how the D5C is spec'd then I will probably go down your route of a sportline T6 kombi.2015 Mariana black D4 Commercial

So it's time to sell Crumpet....
I've enquiries with my dealer. They can't help!
I'm prepared to pay (!!) so contacts LR directly...
This is the reply today:
I have had a reply back with regards to your Discovery 5 enquiry:
Unfortunately Discovery isn't a vehicle currently offered by Bespoke so it's not a car we could support with any spec upgrades etc.
However, any Retailer can supply a Discovery Commercial when it becomes available.
The best course of action would be for you to contact your local retailer and register interest about Discovery 5 commercial.
As soon as details are lifted from Embargo – your retailer will be able to quote you and discuss speccing options that are available to you.
Please accept my apologies for not being able to offer a more definite reply.
So.... I'm ANGRY!! HOWEVER, had a lovely chat with Nene Overland tonight and they've been so helpful!!!
I can have a D5 commercial they will make me one. Whoopie!! Better still they are already doing them!
Does anyone have experience of dealing with Nene Overland?

Here is one available in Ireland. With the tiny 2.0 180hp. Don’t see why LR don’t do them, how hard can it be?

Clearly LR too busy building one off publicity stunts for z list celebs.
The real workers who depend upon their vehicle are ignored.

I’ve seen adverts here for commercial D5s with the 2L engine or can be specked with the 3.0 V6

The only modification, if any will be the loss of the flap as per the Highways Agency cars. I doubt LR will reengineer the whole rear end for the Commercial.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Does that not mean that dealers will be doing commercials
