I have a horrible feeling that the fuel tank will have been one of the most heavily used components that makes it to the 1,000,000 miles...

yeah but isnt yours a bit of a triggers broom?
how much of the car has actually done that mileage?
Was thinking the same thing!
Was at a pool tournament in Catalonia last week at the same time as a rally was going on. Hotel full of rally types. Got chatting to a guy who prepares vehicles for charities, expeditions etc who reckoned the average “usable for work” life span of one of his vehicles was two months.
D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven
Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

They'd probably insist it was dealer serviced for all of those miles, with annual inspection etc....
Good going to get that much though !! (800k)

bought it from LEX Autolease in 2008, had done 190k and was two and a half years old, still under warranty at the time so good old nick at Yeovil managed to get a few warranty issues addressed
full LR service history, all OEM parts, only ever used Castrol Magnatec,
as for what is original - quite a lot to be honest, what's not is the usual culprits ie gearbox (looking at 2nd one), engine (first to 384k,next 38k then replaced under warranty to current one), turbo's (2nd pair at moment)
To be honest we do often change things ahead of actually failing due to minimising the risk of breakdown when towing so things like hoses etc and all that have been done along the way because it was practical or made financial sense at the time like the other month, radiator got hit by a very large stone so made sense to change hoses at the time as the old ones were off the car etc or that it saves downtime to do "this along with that" rather than take off the road for any extra period.

ummm sadly not, suffered a rat infestation whilst off the road in 2016, so I can say its had a "second hand" one put on in its defence!!
I recon the chassis (except the rear cross member) is more likely to be the component that makes it to 1m
