2005 Sat Nav Disc
Can anyone tell me what is the most up-to-date sat nav disc available for my 2005 Discovery 3 HSE. My local dealer (based outside the UK) is not proving too helpful.

The cheap 2015 disc available from "aftermarket" sellers is NOT genuine, nor is it correctly licensed from the map supplier.
If such a disc was available then Britpart, Bearmach, etc etc would be all over it and be supplying a proper aftermarket disc.
I could not get anywhere with having a correctly licensed disc created by the map supplier so I doubt these people with dodgy web sites are buying the maps from them.
No, these disks are pirated data made out of the data copied from map discs for other vehicles, mashed up and stuck onto a recordable DVD to make something that supposedly works on a D3.
You are NOT buying licensed maps if you buy these discs. You are buying copies, clones, forgeries.
Ask yourself would a genuine seller be spamming this forum every night to peddle their disks?

Downsman and Site Mod, apologies for causing any problems. My original question was asked as a genuine enquiry.

Changing it is easy. On my D3 the I moved the driver’s chair (LHD) all the way back, removed the black shield under the seat (just pull one side, then the other), toggle unlock switch, press eject. A flashlight will help you see better under the chair. Can be done with the car running, takes 5 minutes of which 4 is fumbling with the DVD

I appreciate some views regarding the disc you buy from certain sites but if anyone wants it I have a spare 2014/2015 disc which if they make a donation of some description to the site I will post out free of charge.

@ kajtzu: with your suuuuuuuuuperb data networks in Finland surprised you don't just bin the rubbish LR system (mine is now just used for radio station selection) and stick with GoogMaps. I did the 8,000km blast from southern UK to Sortland, NW Norway, and back dual running D4 LR system & google maps, concluded the LR system was so bad I haven't used it since.

I know a lot of people moan about it but to be fair it does what I want and has got me a fair few places here and in Europe without any real problems.
