Well after a few months I think its growing on me I cannot help thinking the D4 is starting to look (slightly) dated.

I was not a fan but really like this:

I don’t actually mind the discovery 5 I think it looks great from the front and side, however it will be a loooong time before I can justify spending that sort of money on a car

I like certain aspects of the D5 but for me there are just still too many negatives my D3 and the D4 we use for work are just better suited for what we need out of them , we had a loan D5 for about 2 months and it just couldn’t do what we wanted it too

I’d suggest that it’s possible to get used to anything with familiarity; with the D5 having been around for nearly two years, the shock was always going to dull after a while Thumbs Up Even the infamous Ssangyong Rexton doesn’t nauseate like it used to Shocked

As far as being “dated” is concerned, I’ve absolutely no interest in fashion so I couldn’t really comment. Having said that, quality design shouldn’t date anymore than something like the shape of Concorde, a Supermarine Spitfire or the E-Type would. The D3/4 may not be in quite the same league, but it’s a quality, purposeful design that should look good for years.

2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄

2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
