United Kingdom 2016 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 Landmark LE Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 4

In my case it's what I need practically, rather than what I like. I love the V8 (diesel & petrol) FFRR's, but the D3/4 suits my current needs much better. Hence why I've had them for 12 years Shocked

Boot space and flat folding rear seats are key for me.

In an ideal world I'd have both. Smile Thumbs Up

Iā€™d think very carefully about the real world cost difference of 10mpg difference then save even more on the purchase price and get a L322 FFRR supercharged - insane spec, well looked after and generally lower mileage.

And the most awesome sound from the loud pedal this side of an SVR

OP: How are you getting on with your search?

I am in a similar position. I have always been a Toyota man, but a friend has a D4 2012 which I have admired for the couple of years he has had it. I need to change current car, and I'm looking for a D4 around the 20-25k mark.

I have discounted the Landcruiser, the Disco is so much more refined.

I'll be doing some light towing with it, and some long distance European trips. Finding one seems the difficult part.

Yep, that is a beauty but out of my budget. I also want a few less miles.

Have you looked at an L322?

I reckon you could get one of the first 4.4TDV8 within your budget and with under 50k on the clock.

Not knocking the D4 as it offers the best of all worlds and don't know what I'll do when it comes to replacing mine, but as a tow car and general all rounder, a good L322 would take some beating.

I would do a FFRR 2009 V8 petrol or a 2010-2012 5.0 Petrol or a D3 V8 2009 Petrol.
