Thanks for all the diagrams and info which I am sure will enable to sort the problem. Why have I got the problem? --- because whilst sorting out my " through the towing socket" battery charging the needles on my ammeter managed to touch one another. I do not know how I managed it, but one minute I had a full "12v" reading and then zero.
I will let you know which fuse is the culprit (other than me that is!)

Ooops sorry Navigator only trying to help its not the trailer its the car thats clever, the 12v tow pack relay stops the car battery discharging if the trailers connected and the fridge is on in the tin tent

We’ve probably all done it at some point, easily done, and easily fixed its got to be fuse 48

Even more complicated as trailer also switches interior lights in certain power conditions. The Caravan Club have a 31 page handout on trailer wiring.
The "up the bum" charging is a lot simpler! A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
