Front bumper tow eye cover loose |
|
It looks to be the same on every Disco 4 I see, I've obviously tried clipping it back in place but after a few miles it just comes loose again - is there a fix please?

Take it to a Dealer and they should replace it with a modified version which was fitted to 2016 MY and doesn't come loose. I believe there was a service action issued to cover it.

Thanks, good to know, it's going to LR this Saturday so I'll mention that then.

Thanks, if I don't get anywhere with LR, what exactly did you do?
Presumably you heated and bent the tabs upwards a touch?

I have just fitted a replacement(£110 ) and was so tight a fit it took over an hour to get it right including two HD zip ties, one on each end so it can't go anywhere - I hope. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Not sure the later design is necessarily any better. I'm on my third which has thankfully stopped in place. Took several attempts at two different dealers to get a third one fitted under warranty. The first dealer just kept saying well we have already done the work under the TSB sir so can do no more, even though the car was parked outside with the bloomin thing hanging off in front of their eyes. They reattached the second one again and sure enough by the time I had driven home it was hanging off.
Tried a different dealer who agreed to replace again and touch wood this one has stopped on.
