Engine won't warm up
Good morning,
So i fixed the FBH yesterday, but it still won't start up. I have to look into that with diagnostics i guess.
It's around -15°C ti +5°C at the moment. I can drive 30miles and the Torque App would give me 60°C watertemperature.
I know it is very important that the FBH works, but with a functioning Thermostate i would say the engine should get warm after a long trip like this, right?
Had the car for 5 days now.
I even but something in front of the Radiator.
I aso think that the beltdriven fan operates a little bit too much when it's freezing cold.
I'm happy for any help / usefull links.
I'm trying to get my hands on IID tool now, that should help a lot with finding the failure.

It does sound like a thermostat issue as there should be little or no flow through to the radiator when cold, so no need for a radiator cover. Radiator covers are a bad idea on a D3/D4.
The fan isn’t belt driven as it is on a controlled viscous coupling. The rpm achieved can be ram air only, engine only, or a mixture of both. It provides cooling for more than just the engine so the gearbox and air conditioning can call upon it too.
