Limp Mode at least 5 times today |
|
Had this today. HDC fault, transmission fault, limited gears, park brake fault and suspension lowers.
I've not got a FCR, but I will get one. Was only driving slow, under 30 mph, when it happened. Turned off and on but it happened another 4 times during the 3 mile drive home.
It's an 08 and I have D4 rear lights so not bulb out. Took brake light switch out and replaced. I know I need it plugging in but anything easy I can check in the meantime would be a great help.
Cheers

... didn't potential that slurping fuel at a higher than normal rate might have triggered your other recent fault get mentioned on Sunday ?
sprung to mind straight away as I've had a couple of Fiats that did similar.

You need the codes reading Andy. I have had the same problem some time ago and it's in a pain in the backside

Serviced around March time but would need to check. Got someone coming over tomorrow with an iid tool so hopefully will know more then.
Yes was driving abit faster than normal last week and had an engine fault. After the day I've had in work plus these faults I'd forgot about that D4 MY15 SE TECH

I've changed the large one for a silicone one Gareth. Not got round to the other two.
Getting it plugged in tomorrow so will have a clearer indication then. D4 MY15 SE TECH

Mine was doing this and turned out to be a speed sensor - rear near side had wire chafed and was shorting so you really do have to get the old girl plugged in and probably, all will be revealed.

Does the D4 have the same ECU behind the battery as the D3? If so check the contacts Dave

Mine was doing this, it ended up being the HPFP, once replaced it hasn't happened again.
Obviously it depends on what codes you pull up.
