Only gone and done it... D4
So after 3 months of looking I have done the deal on a 2015 D4 HSE. Havana with the luxury spec interior and lots of options. Is it a good deal/good thing as it is the most that I have ever paid for a car and never had something like this before....only time will tell. Hopefully in my possession in 2 weeks for a very good clean. What I have noticed here in France (where they are quiet rare) is the values seem to be increasing.
So it has a full history 72,000 kms and I want to keep it a long time... so any preventative maintenance tips? Also in France you cannot extend the warranty so it runs out in may this year so any things to look for to squeeze onto the warranty?
Disco 3 has been a great source of research so thank you all

the extended warranty on mine beyond the 3 years is not actually landrover, its a warranty company named something like landrover warranty services underwritten by a std warranty company even though its 'landrover warranty' its not.
to be fair your aswell going for the most reputable one people can recommend if you can find one aftermarket as such.
grease up brake pipes and waxoil it underneath.
check for rubbing coolant hose on engine cover, mines doing it with only 25k on a 16 reg!

Thanks for the response. I plan a spend at bilthamber for the underbody treatment when the weather gets a bit warmer. Will have a look at the coolant pipe.

As you can see the rear scuff plate needs straightening - is it easy to take off to fix?

not taken the bumper plate off myself but seen there are some after-market ones available. have a look around on the web and you may find a "how to fit … " video.

Exterior is Havana - it is a dark 'stone grey' with a brown metallic flake. Due to the crappy weather it is mostly stone grey
The interior is great though - a mix of luxury and practicality (kids and light seats don't work).

I have just checked the how to fit videos - I will see over the weekend how easy the black caps are to remove to access the screws.
Other items - the lower back door seems erractic to open, sometimes the actuator switch works - sometimes not. The LR dealer will replace it next week under warranty (2 months left). The stop/start has not worked in the 3 weeks I have had it (although it has been cold).

So six months in..... it is fantastic, I love the luxury and the understatement. I love the look of it except the rear lamps. It is great for wafting around although lots of long trips - maybe 8000 miles so far. So so so practical - beds, plants, tables, kids. 28 mpg but smiles per miles it is worth it. A free land Rover off road event in September so that justifies the expense of the service . So the plan for autumn new tyres all round with full wheel alignment and rustproofing rear wheel wells/ suspension (all the rest already done).

Hi,
Nice D4 there
The Havana colour is as you say bland in bad weather, but with a bit of sunshine it's very nice.
Sorry to jump the thread, but got inspired to show a few pic's of ours, an older "brother" from 2012 and with 180'km on it now. Very happy with it
