It’s certainly been a labour of love that’s for sure. Plus I’m always thinking what I can do next.
I’d have thought the panels would just pull off. Might break some clips doing it but they are easily replaced.
Hope your sorted soon and can crack on with yours D4 MY15 SE TECH

Indeed can see that ref the amount of hours you’ve put into it, like all the work I’ve done on mine, think it took nearly a year to undo the previous bodges that were done, ie connectors wrapped with insulation tape etc the list went on and on of all the bodges
Ended up tracing the original connectors and starting from scratch
Many thks ref the panels , that’s what I’m thinking of them just pulling off
Ref other mods I keep looking at the terrafirma raised snorkel
Many thks as it’s driving me up the wall and will be so nice to at least do things I want to , will however leave the rear lower arms replacement to the garage as they came up as advisory on my last MOT, will also get them to replace the rear struts as there original and that will then be the entire suspension rebuilt
Thks again

Been out mountain biking in the forest today.
A little tip, try and get an open spot, today was just like the back end of summer when in the open.
However, once deep in the forest tree cover, was like winter, dew & frost still on the ground and you could really feel the cold air.
The comparison is like two different seasons.
Enjoy your weekend when it comes.
A couple of iPhone pics I took at Forrest Lodge Estate (and Loch Ken nearby).

Got home yesterday at around 18.30hrs after a 4 hour none stop drive. Apart from my “age” related aches felt as fresh as I did at the start of the journey.
Anyway my new Fjallraven trousers performed great would highly recommend
We had sideways rain Saturday morning then it cleared in the afternoon. Sunday morning was cold with the temp not getting above 2 degrees all day. Not a cloud in the sky but a bit windy which added to the low temps.
All in all another great weekend at the Scottish Borders Hill Rally
A few photos for your enjoyment

Looks like you had a grand day out Andy.
Really liking the contrast of both the black and the white D4s.
a little gratuitous video of my trip leading the SLROC in the same forest, nearly two years ago now.

Where did you start from, and how long was the route? I'm keen to expand my horizons a bit.

I generally enter from the southern tip through Garroch glen, but there is a car park in the Forrest lodge estate for walkers & Mbikers (in one of the pics I posted earlier).
Their isn’t a designated route, you just make up your own on the forest tracks and tackle some of the gnarly bits from the 4x4 drives.
But if you want designated MB trails, then best going south a bit to Newton Stewart - you’ve got Kiroughtree and Glentrool, both trails from the 7 Stanes group.
Now we’d better clear off now and stop mucking up Andy’s thread.
