New mod fitted.
Altox FBH controller fitted. Very easy install using the lead from the forum shop. Couple of niggles to iron out not least needing the FBH resetting as it appears to be locked out D4 MY15 SE TECH

Almost too easy arnt they
Will it not reset from the altox menus Andy by clearing the fault codes? I know we used to pull a fuse in the D3 engine compartment before the IID tool of course D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Still trying to work that out. Can get the Altox to work via a phone call but not got the text/internet connection sorted yet. Just need some time to sit down and work it all out. Will get there in the end D4 MY15 SE TECH

No probs Andy
Bottom left button on the Altox states connection in there you have the 3 methods of connection.
I know you’ll sort it but I just followed Bodsys and Beanies posts to get the hang of most of it but still learning, like you do.

Got the text bit working but not the internet. Keep getting this message.
Was getting error code 84 which I think means the FBH is locked out. Cleared the code so will see if it starts tomorrow D4 MY15 SE TECH

[quote="Andy Foster"]Bit of an update regarding mods.
Blackvue just about sorted. Just need to workout what fuses to piggyback off for permanent and ignition feeds.
Split charge system in progress. Will be using a VSR as I had one in my D3 without issue. Battery fits nice in the rear passenger side.
Fitted a rear work light. It’s a Lightforce ROK20. It’s very bright for its size and fits under the top step of the Prospeed ladder very nice. This will be wired to the split charge system.
Andy, can you tell me the make/size/capacity of your leisure battery please....its exactly what i was thinking of doing
Cheers

Hi RBB
Changed plans slightly. Will be fitting an Optima yellow Top 4.2 instead of the leisure battery. This is due to the potential fumes an unsealed lead acid battery will/may give off when charging. With it being inside the car then there’s only one place those fumes will end up. The Optima is fully sealed and can be mounted in any orientation without issue. It will fit in the same place albeit probably has to go on its side.
Hope this helps D4 MY15 SE TECH

Cleared the fault codes on the FBH with the Altox and tried it again today. Seemed to fire up as I had hot air from the exhaust. However I’m now getting code 24. Not sure what this means as I need to look it up. But it would appear that clearing the codes resets the heater so just need to make sure I stay over 1/4 of a tank and see how it goes D4 MY15 SE TECH

Nice one Andy, mine gives that code sometimes when its on my drive as my drive is a bit steep so the fuel sits at one end of the tank if its below a quarter although sometimes it keeps running even though it has sent the code D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Andy,
Just done a little more research on this Gel and Dual AGM batteries like the ES650 or EP500 don't vent and are cheaper than the Yellow top can also mount on the side

Ceekay will stick some fuel in tonight and give it another go and report back
RBB thanks for the link. Will have a look now. Already got the Yellow Top but that’s powering a portable power box at the minute so might get another battery for the split charge
