Dreaded wet drivers carpet I have a sunroof but the drains are ok, I have checked as trims there ok, I have checked drivers door seal that’s ok, I have removed the carpet and it’s sodden just under where my feet would be, the top of the carpet that goes behind the pedals is bone dry, the bit that goes along the transmission tunnel is also bone dry as is around and below the air con drains do it’s not them.
So today I pulled the carpet back and set up two hosepipes on heavy spray over the top of the car to simulate a good downpour for 1/2 hour and nothing it is bone dry inside.
Anyone got any ideas
Just to reiterate
Sunroof drains not blocked and working ok
Air con drain also not blocked and ok
A trim holes filled and not leaking
Door seal okRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

I know this won't help you fella but i used to have the same problem, tried all the same cures as you until I fitted a roof rack, since then nothing Dry as a bone The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Are there any rubber drain bungs fitted in the floorpan? and if so is one missing?
Talcum powder spread about will show where its coming from, you may find the car has to be moving for the water to make its way in, ie past a weld seam underneath etc
Water leaks are one of the biggest pita going.

I seem to remember mention grommet or similar on bulkhead failing then water getting in that way. Mind you cannot find details but others may give more information.

Wet floor
Had exactly this last few days just after snow and heavy rain storms, with all usual suspects sorted last year!
Pretty sure it was from being in and out with wet snow draining off the mats, all dry and good now but it was sodden on both sides, under the genuine standard rubber mats, just a possible?
All bone dry now.

No but I have not had any leakage since I had the sun roof drain passenger side replaced.
It could have come from the scuttle area however my vehicle is often left outside with no damp at all returning since about march 2017.
Just lifted the drivers mat last Friday to clean and discovered the damp, dried it all out and assumed it must have been the wet boots. A little bit on the passenger side as well.
We were out in the D3 as much as possible when it snowed and the mats were soaking, I had to tip it out, maybe we all have big boots with deep soles!!

Perhaps remnants of the melted snow held under the carpets - when its wet it stays trapped if you dont take them out and let it dry
My drivers side was Bl**dy soaking after a few days of getting in and out of the car with wet boots on all the time
spent a day drying out with newspapers under the mat and not had any issue since...Must stop buying shiny toys....

Yep that's what I think happened.
To Hotub I hope this helps, like all great things they have their faults!
We had such grins in the snow, yesterday in West Sussex flooded roads no worries!

Fingers crossed as its never good to be driving with water sloshing around - especially with the dubious wiring joints at some places in the car

Have you changed them at all within your ownership?
Might not be blocked and working ok, i.e. you see water exiting out onto the ground but maybe still leaking inside?
I'd replaced both of mine a couple of years ago and that cured my wet foot wells.
Perhaps try that if not already done so

don’t know if it’s any use , had an elusive leak on my old freelander
used a chimney smoke pellet , put pellet inside a tin can , lit the pellet and put inside the landy and closed the door, then saw smoke coming out of the back seal
don’t know if u may be able to use it to find the leak , but just a thought
ps, a heads up as well, if u do go that route don’t get the yellow pellets as they can leave dust , just the proper white ones , available in different sizes , they do smell but will clear after a few days ,
believe there are proper smoke machines u can get for finding the ingress of water , ie through the bulkhead grommets by the servo
plus a modification to the pollen filter inlet

On my 54 plate HSE, I found the bonding between the fixed panel glass roof and body not so good, I went round the top edges with some sprayable wax oil from Halfords, and it stopped leaking. It took me years to find the leak, so don’t assume because it’s bonded it’s a good bond.
