It happens between different dealers. We need someone to check Topix to see if there is a TSB (Technical service bulletin). That will be key. If there is then we can then quote that when we talk to our dealers. My Topix log in has stopped working unfortunately.
Can anyone assist by checking?
Might be worth one of you guys registering yourselves to see?

Since having the battery changed for a new one it is now working fine.
Initially it made no difference but after several hundred miles and the engine reaching working temperature on shorter runs it now works, particularly when I press the brake quite hard.

Thanks Lurcher 33.
It's from January 2018, so quite recent. I'm going to put mine in too shortly so please share your experience with us.
Thanks again
Cheers Gary

Well to give an update got D4 back tonight from main dealer after service. They told me it was a battery problem and it has been replaced. The driver who returned it said it was working so I tried it this evening. Seems to work but time will tell. Only issue now is the door mirrors don't fold when locking the vehicle which they did before the service. Will have to see if I can set it from the in car menu.

Thanks for the info Kevsco.
Can you confirm which battery they replaced (main or small stop start battery?- the one that keeps everything powered on when stop/start kicks in)? That would be very useful info.
Keep us posted regarding whether it keeps working.
Cheers Gary

Was told the small battery was replaced. Stop/start has been working well for the last few days.

Tks Kevsco. That's another small battery replaced, the second reported in this thread. I charged both my batteries up fully over the weekend using my newly acquired CTEK 7.0. Both batteries showed 80% charge light quite quickly and went to lay charged within 2-3 hours so they obviously weren't that discharged.
33Lurcher, how did you get on taking yours in on Saturday and referencing the TSB?
Mine is booked in for Mid May for a service so I have asked it to be looked at then. Can't be any excuses regarding the temperature at that time of year.
Cheers Gary

My stop start has worked brilliantly........until yesterday. The yellow Eco light with the line through it is on permanently. When you press the start stop on off button a message comes up 'start stop not available'.
Two fault codes logged that come back immediately after clearing:
PCM U0447 invalid data received from gateway A
GWM B13C5 Secondary battery.
So looks like a trip to the dealer for me too, I can't be doing with that bright yellow light on all the time, will drive me bonkers.

Car in this morning for stop/start and epb(screech on application) , brakes stripped and cleaned and software update for stop/start issues .
The fella at reception said it was a Gateway download for electrical components that had sorted the stop/start and it was checked ok after a road test .
Drove the 27 miles home and stop/start worked twice correctly , its early days yet and will see how it goes over the next couple of weeks .
