Anyone about to buy PD1881's?
I must get a spare Compomotive PD1881 soon. Is anyone else about to buy any? It might help to secure a better price if we buy together.

No way, the ride on 18"s is superb, virtually impossible to kerb and more sidewall when off-roading. Are you sure you don't need a set Del? 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Nah, getting used to life on rubber bands/19s & ATRs.

Still looking for a spare though but I have a couple of fiendish plans in mind that would mean I don’t have to buy a full set.
PS Besides remind me how much Comps are? These were £175 for 4 rims in pretty good condition, plus should be able to pick up a spare for a couple of ponies. SWMBO was away when I bought them, an not too unhappy, but she’d have gone more potty if I’d have bought a set of Comps. Especially as I’d sold my virtually new 18” ATRs from Dark Bluie.

Just a sign that it’s getting close to maybe needing it’s annual wash. Booked in at Wimbledon LR for the belt service in May so it’ll hopefully get washed then. If not, once I’m back from RT18 in July.

Great, we could be up to 7 rims, so a mini group buy hopefully.
Anyone else?

Bump on this!
I shall be talking to Barry at Compomotive this morning, so if any one else interested let me know!
Obviously if it turns into a group buy, I’ll get Martin’s permission etc..

A small discount is to be had speaking to Compomotive directly, it’s the postage that seems to bump price up a lot...
With the PD1881s, they don’t do ‘Group buys’ because it’s too specialised unlike the wheels for Caterhams and Fords which are common as muck and have in the past had group buys...
Now, which tyres to go for......
