| Help....a bloody idiot please!! Airbag light |

So I fitted my D4 SEATS and have everything working including memory by fitting D4 leather to D3 base!
But like an idiot i didn't check the seat airbag socket was connected before starting car,
I now have airbag light on(goes off for two seconds when started) but comes straight back on, i now also have drivers seat occupancy light on permanently.. Even when not sat in the car and putting in seatbelt buckle doesn't stop it either and just chimes away when driving.
Would a hard reset clear this as im pretty sure it is because I started car in haste as there were no faults when I took the seat oyt
Any help would be appreciated thanks Andy

Im not sure on the D4 but the D3 only has an occupancy sensor in the passenger seat, so even a bag of shopping will bring up the dash light if seat belt not clipped in.
Ive always assumed the designers thought if the engine is running and the car is moving the vast majority of the time the car will have a driver

I have no idea if its the same (mine is a D4) BUT, I just fitted new seats in mine and had the airbag light on.
I undid the main connector and re connected, and bingo, it was all sorted. Must just have been a little out of shape.
My symptoms were the same as yours.

Thanks both, I've moved wiring many times but no resolve!
If there is only occupancy sensor on passenger seat then the pretensioner must have gone faulty some how? 
Any one else any idea?

Hi, not quite the same but I had a SRS light after doing some work in the passenger footwell. I disconnected battery and found a loose plug/socket which just needed a little squeeze, id obviously just knocked it while working in that area.
I did disconnect the battery as its sensible to do so apparently when working with srs stuff, but didn't do the full hard reset process. Once the plug was back in place the SRS light went off as expected.
The other thing I have seen is my passenger seat occupancy sensor got slightly stuck on after I stood on the seat. It needed a bit of a slap on the seat to get it to go off and it does feel a bit over sensitive now, so maybe thats similar (however the seatbelt should cancel it so Id say your wiring isn't 100%) Disco 3: Lotus Elise S1: Ferguson T20: Audi A2

Can anybody direct me to which connector is sensitive to seat adjustment. for some time the airbag light has come on when I use my wife's D3 and adjust the seat to "full back" position. I normally fiddle around underneath pushing any connector I can find together and eventually the light goes out. This time I am struggling to find the right connector to squeeze and cannot get the light out. If anybody can direct me to the likely source of this recurring problem I would be grateful as big hands don't help either!!!

Best way is to adjust the seat to max height and max back and look under the seat from rear door with a lamp to see which cable is tight or trapped.  It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
