HELP !!! Drivers Electric Seat - SORTED AGAIN !!! |
|
Thought it was going too well..........
Drivers seat working fine - now got airbag warning on dash .
All connections under the seat are secure , only had big blackbox apart to redo connection but has this triggered something which is a false alarm
Was thinking of doing a battery reset but anybody else cast any light on the cause and whats the fix ........
Help guys need your input urgently........
As part of my interior upgrade installed electric HSE spec drivers seat - now I know others have done this too and will have the electrics working but try as I might for most of the afternoon and evening I cannot get it to work even after doing what I believe is the correct wiring mod to bridge out the memory module to be able to pulse the controls to get the seat in the correct position.... I am aware that the memory module and pre sets won't work which is fine but cannot adjust at all ....
Anybody help on this, pics and links would be very much appreciated
HE...........E...........L............P !!!!!

MY56 as far as I know .... Passenger seat worked a peach straight away plug n play as expected .....
Aware of the option to replace the module with same switches as passenger seat but that's more cost which if I can avoid then all the better ....
PM'd you my mobile number.

How, full movement or short burst? Have you got electric lumber support on the seats? A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

I posted this a while ago and thought this may help,I seem to recall I had a problem with the seat position sensor bringing on a warning light.
I took some notes on the seat connectors these were my notes to fit my seats, dont take it for gospel but mine are fine and please correct me if i'm wrong.
connector
grey= seat operating relay
black 2 pin= seat power
black 3 pin= seat heaters
crimson= seat fwd position sensor
blue= seat belt buckle switch
orange= seat buckle pretensioner
yellow= side airbag
green= lin bus -- I think these two may
brown= occupancy sensor -- differ on different models
on my fl2 seats the memory worked fine as soon as i plugged it in
on the seats the grey pin gets the seats working, if it has no memory you can just put a jumper wire in place of the relay under the seat on memory seats you have to put power to this plug.

Hi simoniz, I have just fitted D4 leather to my D3 drivers base, everything working, memory etc but....
I now have seat belt light on and airbag light on! - i did previously fit the D4 base also but could get nothing to work- but had no warning lights
the D3 seat had no faults prior to removal
when you say you replaced buckle do you mean the full pretensioner also?
pulling my hair out with this
any help would be appreciated
