Breakdown recovery for 8ft wide caravans
Does anybody know which recovery companies offer policies that cover the new 8ft wide vans emerging in the UK?
ISTR RAC offer a no restrictions policy but would like to have more than 1 quote to work with - it's time consuming going through quotes then trawling through the fine print only to find a width restriction of 2.25m or similar.
I would expect the cover provided through either of the two major caravan clubs will cover them as both clubs are promoting these behomeths. Not moving gateposts yet though!A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. That will be left presumably to the behemoth owners when they try to get into the site

MayDay (GreenFlag) from the caravan and Motorhome club has no size or weight restriction, and is much cheaper than the Arrival (RAC) Caravan and Camping club, plus for later is dual drop off on recovery if your van needs to go back to storage.==================================

I also went with Mayday from the Caravan and motorhome club (Greenflag). I did the usual trawling around and it seemed the best option for me at the time (although not needed to use breakdown service to date).

Caravan Club Mayday (Green flag) as said above.
Also has the bonus of..
If you break down on the way to holiday they will take you, vehicle and caravan to destination, drop vehicle at repair facility, and if not fixed pick you up at the end and drop you all back home...
So you can still have a holiday, just cant go anywhere when you are there!!!If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking .. O
