I'm bowled over with the D5 and receive gushing comments from all that see it in the flesh, but it's not for everyone, so for those who just can't get over their hang ups, a step down to a lesser capable vehicle like a Volvo is perfectly understandable
Oi, I resemble that remark!
Less about hang ups, more about the extra £££££ in my bank for a car that meets my needs I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

You seemed to manage it for the 3 Freelanders you had, what was the trick then?
Oddly enough, I managed very well with those odd, terribly dated, square looking, "form follows function" Freelander thingies Do you remember “form follows function”? For reference, see most of the LR/RR range for much of the last 70 years!
But, if McGovern dictates that the "half melted wellington boot" look is "in", who are we to stand in the way of his Gerryness?!
Look, they're even available in white

Are you suggesting that with age comes wisdom DG?
I believe that George Santayana may have been on to something: "Those who do not learn from their history are doomed to repeat it"....

It may well be a good car, but personally I am unable to get over how it looks and could never buy one for that reason.
I work on the same industrial estate as my local Land Rover dealer, so see them everyday and I dislike it even more now than I did when it launched.Andy
