IID tool and extended suspension
Hi to all
i owe the older IID tool but i havent yet explored its abilities to set the suspension into ++ extended mode (i think this could be done, right??)
Could you give me some easy guidelines???

Sorry for the delay,
The IIDTool cannot ask the suspension system to go into extended mode. You can however raise the standard height.

Raise standard height with rods
I have 2.5" rhino rods installed to give my 05 LR3 a little lift to clear bigger tires, bigger in diameter not too much footing acreage.
I know that I have heard I can get another 1" of height using the tool to raise the standard height, is that correct with having rods?
I assume if so I would go into the calibration menu and just raise it up the 1" or 20 - 25mm using the measuring tape to limit the height.
Is that correct?
I know that you can't guarantee anything as far as damage, etc. poor driving, etc. but you see the mrs is a little legged thing and complains when she has to get in my truck. I figured if I raised it even more, I would keep a lot of miles off my truck? LOL
I actually just want another inch, what man wouldn't. Then I can tell the SWMBO that her legs are getting shorter.
I have ran the calibration many times so I am familiar with the routine and measuring corners , etc. did it after I did the rods cause things got out of whack. for that I used the book values then added 2.5" to them and set it up 2.5" higher to get the tires under it. Actually, there is a function for this. The calibration function shall not be used to change the Height, use the Height function. Menu--Height...
But be careful, you are close to the maximum car height and air bags dont always like it when worn out.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Only for 322
OK I thought that was only available if you have a L322. Ill have to try it out, but yeah my bags are not new so I will maybe hold off on this one..inch.

Hi
Is it possible to set all different heigts individually?
lets say I want the access height 10mm lower. The standard height 10mm higher and the offroad height 30mm higher.
I want to buy a iid tool, and this would help to get the permission from my wife.

thanks for the answer.
ok, but i found that you can do 3 different height setups.....
is it easy and quick to change from one setup to another?
so that I have one that is lower as standard.
and one that is much higher for offroad?
I don#t want to wait 10 min to change the height.

i do not think that really works as a day by day work arround... TBH
but.. if you do, you have to plug in de IID, load the CCF file, adapt it and reload it... reloading the CCF
takes has the concequence that the car/motor reboots, and you have to set the clock, sets your display (trip comp etc.) to blanc.... zero... and unplug the IID
that would take arround 10 minutes ...... you battery HAS to be FULL otherwise one of your ECU can be bricked in the process..
there are also forum members who have a certain CCF setup for on road and when they go off-road, put the extra hight linkages into place... since the off road trips are less than the on road trips in most cases..
i have a Matzker system in my car/motor, who allows me to drive let's say 90km/H in full height..
that is nice on wobbly roads like gravel roads where you can drive faster than 40 km/h
although on twisty roads, a D3 becomes / feels quite insecure at speed on full height.... even 10 mm higher than neutral height feels lees secure IMHO it IS a heavy motor..
there is an Italian alternatieve, a lot cheaper but still rather expensive.. although the Matzker was in my car/motor when i bought it.. i would not have paid the matzker money for the system, but i would have bought the Italian system for sure, for me it is worth the luxuryBest regards
