ARB Compressor Installation Bracket
Hi all,
Firstly a quick hello as this is my first post here. I have had an Freelander 2 (08) for several years (Wife's car) but have now recently purchased myself a 2016 Discovery 4 Graphite. Had to sell my Mk3 Audi TTS due to baby no.2 on the way
Onto the question.
I am planning on installing an ARB CKMA12 Compressor for inflating tyres. As you will all be aware the latest UK Disco4's have a start stop system and a FBH under the bonnet so leaves zero room under there for anything. So, my plan is to use the space in the rear wing, passenger side, where the rear blower would be if you had one. I plan on using the 30A blower power feed for powering the pump (will bridge the relay in the fuse box to make it live).
The question is does anyone know of any mounting brackets available that I can use?
And anyone see any issues with the above plan?
Regards
Dorian.

Also if anyone knows where you can buy the connector or terminals that fit the blower connector that would be bonus. It appears as if the shell is left on but with no terminals in it.
See images.

Great idea. I've been thinking of doing the same. I was planning on using a different power source as I've wired up a dual battery setup with power in the rear already.
Did you keep the wood in place or was just to get the size & location for something else?

The plywood is what I mounted the compressor on as per the pics in the 2nd to last post. Held in place at the top using a metal plate as a clamp on the body lip and the bottom is supported by an L bracket on the edge that is there where the arch ends.
This is the finished item before mounting in the wing.

Hi, nice use of the space.
For a different purpose (mounting my UHF radio) I made a bracket from aluminium strap to fit this space - it bolts to a nutsert in lower pinchweld and new hole I drilled in the top pinchweld. Wouldn't be difficult to shape to mount the compressor.
