Yes it has done a few miles, apparently the previous owner had a place abroad and did a lot of traveling to and from it.
But thats why its only £16k.
I wouldnt have been able to afford it when i bought it if it had 70-80k on it.
To be honest it drives as well if not better than my previous 59 plate D4 and that had only done 65k but the gearbox on the 8 speed make it so much nicer Previous Discos

Really nice genuine car, pity no’one was / is interested, I’ve seen some rubbish about at a much higher price nowhere near as good as this, if maintained properly as it would seem you have done mileage is secondary, like all LR its the condition that really matters (IMHO) come winter it will be a much different story.

Thanks OJ. Have got a few people wanting to view from other sites so hopefully it will sell. A couple of traders have offered close to what its advertised for and i am open to offers
I put it up expecting for people to haggle me down and do have a little wiggle room. If i put it up at £10k somebody would offer £8k
It is the cheapest 8 speed HSE listed on eBay by quite a lot so hopefully i will get some interest. After that i will start stripping bits off and putting it back to standard and reduce the price accordingly
I have only done about a thousand miles since i got it in January but have still spent close to £1500 sorting all the common jobs and getting it upto scratch (wishbones, cam belts ,full brake rebuild etc)
As for the book values i cannot see where they get them from. I have even been offered almost £14k by stratstones without even buying from them. There are cars with more miles than mine being sold at "dealers" for much more than mine is advertised for so obviously they don't base their sell prices on the "book values"? ,and i assume nobody on Autotrader or eBay got the memo. I was once told by a dealer my old 4.4tdv8 vogue se had a book value of £14k and i should be happy at that only for me to sell it the next day to another dealer for over £20k who then sold it for £24k!!
