Raised suspension - speed settings

Does anyone know if LR will ever raise the speed settings when applied to the raised suspension? The beeping from 40km's per hour is really driving me nuts and restricts sand driving tremendously.

Short answer - no . But search for topics about shortening the height sensor rods.

For example

Apparently Matzker make a system that allows non standard heights on the air suspension ie lower and higher than normal. It even says that it will increase the max speed during offraod height ie more than 40km but to what it doesn't say.

http://www.matzker.de/product_info.php?products_id=750

Somebody else said they'd seen a Frog Island installation of the system and wasn't too impressed, I think it was 10.

Do you not think maybe there are reasons of safety and additional mechanical stress that has LR limiting the speed of travel whilst in Off Road Height ?

Maybe the air suspension system is not designed to run at high speed in Off Road height ?

Just a thought.

I think that the height change happens more at the speeds it does to ensure that soccer moms don't have accidents than because of any real issues mechanical. Twisted Evil Surely 20km/h or so faster would not be a problem for the drive train ?

Point taken and accepted but I do not regard an increase to, say, 60 kms ph as speed. I think, by definition, LR owners ought to be responsible and should realise the stresses the vehicle is being put under.

In this Health & Safety Executive & Litigation controlled society we now live in, I cannot see a mere customer being given carte blanch with full control of their vehicle ever again. Evil or Very Mad
